Title: Fear Island

Description: You begin on the marbled rooftop of an island fortress. Work your way down two terraced levels, battling all your favorite foes. Note: although the chainsaw & berserk pack are sources of limitless entertainment, they usually serve a dual purpose, (i.e., they allow you to conserve ammo). Remember this. Although the architecture is not terribly detailed, the texture alignment is near perfect.
Credits: Ian W., the maker of an excellent TC called Herian2. Get it! His work inspired me to try my hand at level design and editing. His continued encouragement and technical advice have been invaluable in helping me build DooM levels.

Id software, without whom one of these text files wouldn't be complete.
Base: New levels from scratch (and I mean scratch -- every linedef, every sector, every node).
Build time: About 20 hours, a couple of which were spent in aligning all the textures (and Man! was that a pain in the butthocks).
Editor(s) used: WadAuthor v1.30, an excellent utility.
Bugs: None that I could find.

Fun map, but a bit frustrating to die on due to having to shotgun dozens of imps and demons and whatnot before getting the better weapons needed for the mid-tier monsters. Otherwise, I liked it.x

A little boring but not that bad. 4/11/07x

It's basically one of those tiered Inca-type temples, with lots of monsters on each tier. It's impressive to look at but a bit monotonous to play (being essentially a nested series of hoop-like arenas). The author seemed to have a thing for arenas.x

Interesting, though not really original concept, but pretty boring. -- 3/5x
