Author: Doug Ryerson
Description: This level is based on a space station "far out in the uncharted backwaters of the un- fashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, etc...". But seriously folks, this level has about 90% of its own graphics. BIG DEAL, so what does that mean? That means that you don't have to look at the same old shit on the walls anymore, this level carries its own walls, designed by me using many original and some borrowed from other textures in Doom][. The complexity of the textures was helped to a great extent by the fabulous program CorelDraw! for windows version 4 (especially using the canvases and the fills).
Credits: Id Software and the authors of DCK and WINTEX
Base: Started from scratch
Build time:
Editor(s) used: DCK 2.0, WINTEX33 (I was happy to find out that DCK will keep the graphic patches with the level if you need to change a few things at the last minute)
Bugs: None that I know of.

Nice map. Gameplay is decently balanced, but without a great deal of danger for the player. Ryerson's later maps were better in this respect.x

No. There are lots of custom textures but they are just modified and inferior versions of existing Doom/Doom2 textures. The level is a cramped collection of pokey rooms and corridors, and feels closer in spirit to Wolfenstein than Doom.x

Is a good level, with a good and original ambientation... But the gameplay isn't too exciting.x

The textures are rusty-looking, but they give a unique atmosphere to the level. The level is quite playable too, although it's got more equipment than enemies, even on UV. If you're stuck, check the automap; it'll reveal the hidden doors that you'll need to go through. This is a classic. -riki x
