| Large, bare action-packed maps, which make for somewhat of a mixed bag. The author shows a good grasp of executing staged fights (sometimes on a *very* grand scale) and it's all very violent, and fun to blast through. On the other hand, the progression is sometimes confusing or downright stuid -- as in, you need to find hidden doors -- and there are some bugs as well (e.g. unreachable monsters). Themes are thrown together haphazardly. --2/5 | x | |

| This is dated April 1996. Back in the 1960s, Paul McCartney dropped acid and discovered the secret of the universe, and when he returned to normality he found he had written "there are seven levels" on a napkin. Overall this is decent - the layouts are blocky and undetailed and bland, but each level except for the first throws tonnes of monsters at you. Map07 is damn good fun if you pistol start it, a kind of Hell Revealed Lite. It's all very crude though. | x |
