Description: |
This is an attempt to "do" some of the scenes/events from the conclusion of "The Lord of the Rings". There's a Mount Doom, a Crack of Doom, and a concluding scenario that revises ever so |

There's a HOM visible when you look at the mountain from a distance. I've tried reducing sectors and deleting unneeded sidedefs and/or textures, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. The "delayed" teleporters are intentional; I just like them that way |

| WTF. I haven't read the books, but this was a cool weird map. | x | |

| Totally epic man. Only things I didn't like was the Spider-mastermind at the beginning, and there being enemies with hitscan weapons at the volcano (Mount Doom). Other than that, IT ROCKS!! | x | |

| This is dated December 1997, and thus precedes the Peter Jackson movie version. It's a pretty faithful recreation of the book; first you kill a spider mastermind in a cave with a BFG, then you use a variety of technological small arms to destroy a bunch of martian hellspawn on a black tower. It's uncanny. Ultimately I fell into the crack of doom - and got stuck there, because the lava didn't hurt. It's an enduring tragedy that Tolkien never got to see this. | x |
