Running Barney Doom
==============================================================================

TO RUN OTHER PWADS WITH BARNEY DOOM 0.062, TYPE:

barn wadname1.wad wadname2.wad -other commands -warp whatever -ect

examples:

to use killer.wad (or whatever you have), and warp to e2m9, skill 3, type

barn killer.wad -warp 2 9 -skill 3

to use killer.wad and superbutt.wad, type

barn killer.wad superbutt.wad

I think you get the idea.

After a proper installation, you should be able to type BARN instead of DOOM,
and then you should be running Barney Doom.  However, if you want to replace
(temperarily) DOOM with BARN (so you can Barney Doomit in d!, for example)
type "BARN ON" at the prompt.  To disable this, run "BARN OFF".  Running
BARN while this is enabled causes you to run Normal Doom.

Some good guidelines are. . .

1. DO NOT DELETE BARN.WAD
2. DO NOT DELETE BARN.BAT
3. DO NOT DELETE DOOM.WAD or DOOM2.WAD
4. DO NOT DELETE CREDIT1.DAT or CREDIT2.DAT
5. DO NO DELETE NWT.EXE or NWT.CFG
6. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'RE NOT SURE OF

The Story: The Wrath of the Green Bellied Purple Singing Swine

Chapter 1 - Lonely Barney

It is the year 2018, and the generation of young children born in the late
80s and 90s have now grown up, and with their subliminal programming of the
Barney shows they grew up with, they have remained loyal throught their lives.
   When they were young, they watched "Barney and Friends".  As they grew
older, however, Barney feared he would loose his audience before he could
finish the programming of his millions of loyal "fans".  So he made other
shows such as "Welcome Back Barney", and "Barney-Two-One-Oh", and, as his fans
becames teens, he made music albums, such as "Jagged Little Barney" and
"Barney & His Westside Click".  His fans remained loyal throught thier lives,
buying his goods.  "Barney Real Estate", "BarneyNet", and "PC-Barney-286",
were some of the overpriced goods his fans bought.  The overpriced 286
4mhz (with 15kb of RAM) processors of BPCs were sold for $9,999.99.
   Meanwhile, there was another group of people.  They were against Barney.
Besides the small number of people who had no idea on what was going on with
Barney, those who said "its just a fad" or "its just a phase", who were
quickly shot down by the 23rd Street East Barney Bops, and other Barney
related gangs.  These people, who were against Barney, were mostly old people,
they were active in the 90's against Barney.  They were prepared for anything
the green bellied fool could dish out, and after taking over government and
the Military, Barney had no where on Earth to turn.
   Barney built two bases on the moons of Mars.  These two moons, "Phobos" and
"Demos" meaning fear and terror, were quickly modified using Barney's near
infinite cash supply.  Now, it was time for the Anti-Barney Socitey to rebel.

(Editor's Note: Rumor has it that Barney did not completely make the base, and
that he just remodeled it.  According to popular belief, it was originally a
UAC Space Research Center, where many, many Space Marines fought and died
against strange monsters that came from a portal.  According to a book
that came out after the alledged incident (which never happened according to
the governent) one space marine, left with only a pistol, cleared out both
bases, returned home only to find more monsters, killed them, and supposedly
went in hell itself to kill more badguys...the rest of the story is so far
unknown.)

Only one man known was ready for this job.  He had been "frozen" by the
military after saving the world from evil (which you may have seen in
DOOM AND DOOM 2).  He was flown in on the next shipment of Barney fans, and
was armed with the only weapon small enough to smuggle in:  a pistol.
   Before the hero of the "DOOM" games arrived, Barney had started to make
clones of himself, because he knew that the only way he could be happy was
to find someone as happy as himself.  The biproducts were stored
because barney didn't have the heart to kill these defective Barney clones.
   Now, you, the hero of the "DOOM" games arrives.  You are there to find
that a breakout of the clones has recently taken place, and Barney's guards
and fans are now armed with guns to defend themselves from the clones.
Unfortunately, these moronic fools can't tell the difference between the
fakes, so they don't kill them.  Guards, fans, and clones are on the prowl.

(a brief description of some of the oddities on Barney's Base.)

BARNEY's  -  These dudes pack a pistol, and try to give you a few
  FANS        bullets - through your stomach.

BARNEY's   - Barney hired these guys in case some one like you
 BODYGUARDS    tried to stop him!

Animated  - These Barney dolls are possed by evil spirits (supposedly) and
  BARNEY     were so strong and insane with "love" they had to be tied up.
   Doll      Others belive that these are also clones.
                      
 Barney Clone - This tall & skinny clone spits at you, and bites you!
   (Type A) 
              
 Barney Clone  - This shorter, fatter clone will bite your head off!
   (Type B)

BHARNEY - Barney's nearly identical clones are similar in behaivior to Type A
  SUPER    Clones.  They attempt to eat you and spit at you. They are tall and
 CLONIES   fat.  These are the best clones the purple butted beast has made,
           as far as we know.  The true barney's wherabouts are unknown.

RECENTLY, BARNEY HAS HEARD OF YOUR PRESENCE AND HAS FLED, LEAVING BEHIND
     ORDERS TO MAKE MORE CLONES THAT ARE SPECIALLY MADE JUST TO KILL YOU.
  IT IS RUMORED THAT THERE ARE FLYING BARNEY HEADS WITH WINGS ON THEM IN THE
    MAKING.  SO FAR, NO BARNEY CLONE LABS HAVE PRODUCED ANY SUCH THINGS...

Technical Stuff

Well, it's quite simple, really.  Install does the following:

I. RUNME.EXE asks for some info and runs INSTALL.DAT with the info.
  A.  Method #2
    1. copies this file, some credit*.dat files, and stuff.dat
    2. asks for disk 2.
    3. gets and unzips BARN.WAD form disk two, as well as NWT.
    4. copies BARN.BAT
    5. tells you to run BARN.BAT to play, which temperarily loads BARNEY DOOM
       FOR YOU.
     
  B.  Method #1
    1. I took out this method because it doubles the space of the ZIP file
    2. I also took it out because it works with shareware (sorry, iD)! |-(
                                                                        
II. Returns you to DOS, or whatever you ran this from.

Also, this program used NWT to temperarily apply BARN.WAD, in case you didn't
know.  In the future I plan on adding more stuff, like another level.

Rights to Barney Doom

You may modify Barney Doom so long as you tell me first and you must take
credit for your modifications and give credit where credit is due to all of
the people who have over time contributed to Barney Doom.  If you make
and Barney Theme Related replacement for any of the other enemies let me
know please.  Also, if you make and levels to go with this or music be sure
to tell me so I can include it in the next OFFICIAL version.

 lizard barney.  RELEASED TO PRODIGY MEMBERS.
*v0.04 NON BETA - added better title pic, more music, bodyguards, fans, BOSS
 barney.  RELEASED TO PRODIGY MEMBERS.  Complicated bat file installation,
 came in two zip files, each had to be unzipped to a disk, then you had
 "disk one" and "disk two".  AN UPDATED VERSION WAS UPLOADED MUCH LATER
 TO FTP.CDROM.COM.  It featured a "RUNME.EXE" and some other stuff.
v0.05 NON-BETA - same as above, but never released and featured more sounds,
 improved installation program, new graphics, ect.  This is the last version
 that works with shareware.
v0.06i - The i is for Internet, because it is now a single zip file and
 does not have to be installed from a disk.  Fixed it so barney barrels
 work in the PWAD installation, took out the IWAD installation so it will
 not work with shareware (and it will be smaller because there is no need
 for disk 1).  Improved some graphics.
*@v0.062 - New level, less music, new, improved graphics & sounds.  0.06i was
 basicaly so bad I never should have released it, it had so many bugs and
 such.  I just wanted to release it because 0.04 was so outdated.  This is
 the next official "BIG RELEASE", and so, it also has a "*" by it.
