Description:	Yeah, yeah... I know. There are PLENTY of Simpsons patches out there. But back in May of '94, there existed only the excellent (original) Simpsons sound patch. This got me thinking... wouldn't it be neat to make a graphics patch that would change a character in the game into a Simpsons character? This was later done (in much greater detail) by another party, but at the time I had a new idea. While perusing the banter on a local BBS message base, I saw someone say something about how cool it would be to be able to blast Homer's head in place of those $#%@ Cacodemons. The rest is history! (sorta) Anyhow, this PWAD changes the Cacodemons in DOOM into yellow, stubbly, balding Homer Simpson heads, who spit donuts at you rather than the usual gas balls.

Yeah, yeah... I know.  There are PLENTY of Simpsons patches out there.  
But back in May of '94, there existed only the excellent (original) Simpsons   
sound patch.  This got me thinking... wouldn't it be neat to make a 
graphics patch that would change a character in the game into a Simpsons 
character?  This was later done (in much greater detail) by another party,

Anyhow, this PWAD changes the Cacodemons in DOOM into yellow, stubbly, 
balding Homer Simpson heads, who spit donuts at you rather than the usual
gas balls.

To "finish" the patch so's DOOM can use it, simply type HOMERGO.  This will 
run NWT with the -as parameter, and append the missing sprites to the 
HOMER.WAD.  This will bloat the file up to about a meg or so.

After that, simply run DOOM with -file HOMER.WAD, and kick Homer's sorry ass!

In the future, I hope to resize the GIFs I painstakingly drew for this patch
and draw bodies to go along with them.  I've always wanted a Marine > Homer
patch, and the Simpsons 2 PWAD, while a great effort, just isn't what I'm
looking for (Homer is only drawn from two perspectives).  Whether I'll get
to this project or not, especially considering my less-than-astonishing 
artistic skills and limited free time, is an unknown.
