Description: This level was inspired by a level in the old GAUNTLET arcade game. It uses teleporters for access to and from most rooms, and this seriously affects game tactics. YES, it is a maze. YES, you may get lost. That's the point.

This level is also quite difficult. It's best balanced for play at HURT ME PLENTY. I'm not even sure it can be done at ULTRAVIOLENCE, but you're welcome to try. Watch for secret doors and save frequently. You'll have to retrace your steps and check a lot of walls to reach the exit.
Credits: Thanks to my first playtesters (Tony Heath, Jens Hausser, and Duncan Torrance), and a big thanks to ID.

Bugs: There are graphics glitches (minor hall-of-mirrors effects) in a couple of locations on this level. None are major enough to interfere with gameplay, and most aren't even bad enough to notice until you've played a few times. BUT I CAN'T GET RID OF THEM! So far the best theory I have is that DOOM just doesn't like certain room shapes, and it REALLY doesn't like really big sectors with other really big sectors inside them. If anyone can fix these glitches without seriously altering the level, please do so, and send me a copy.

Two other things - I can't get the secret crediting to work, even though it worked on my last level. If you want to make sure you find everything find the computer map or use the cheat codes. And I've also found that this level crashes if you move too far while in map mode.

yes it can be done. does involve fighting cacodemons in 0 brightness rooms and a hell of a lot of key searching, but it's generous with health and ammo. nice end roomx
