Description: |
This is a *MUST* for every Metallican! If you manage to go through
this -tough- level, you meet Jaymz&Jason&Kirk&Lars in the Metallica
Hall Of Fame! But... a few badass Imps and Zombie Guys don't want
you to have a pleasant trip by the looks of it...
>>> so WATCH your step down there, marine, and bash'em! <<<
Much attention was paid to both gameplay and design matters.
Completing the WAD in Ultra Violence requires a skilled player and
a little time! ("I'm Too Young To Die" won't save you either...) |

| The level pits you against 210 monsters in a pretty average dungeon-style layout from January 1997 (predating the whole Metallic vs Napster brouhaha by three years). The design is competent for 1997, with good lightsourcing. The difficulty is pleasantly no-nonsense. There's no lovey-dovey nonsense, just lots of baddies and a few good traps. It divides into three arenas linked with corridors - oddly, the cyberdemon fight is in the middle. Overall I liked it. | x | |
