| This implements a "boss key", whereby if you press F1 the screen goes blank, so that people will not think that you are playing games. There was a period, in the early 1990s, when PCs were not common in the home; Doom was predominantly played at university or in the workplace, especially for deathmatch. Lots of old Microprose flight simulators had a boss key. It's practically unheard of nowadays, and this is basically nostalgia. | x |
