Death Wish comes across as a blast from the past - with the levels being of fairly simple contruction and design. You know, lots of rooms connected with corridors etc. Not to say there aren't some well thought out and kind of complicated areas.

The first few levels feature some really annoying crusher traps that you should watch out for, but worse still are the numerous texture misalignments that plague all of the levels. Martin would not be happy!! :-)

Texture use can only be described as weird. One second it'll be all red stone and then grey wall. Hell is a strange place I am sure, but still, the devil is not that bad a decorator...

Monster placement is reasonably good - a little bland with just the Ultimate Doom monsters, and having no super shotgun is a killer... life goes on. You'll have to save often on UV though cause of all those sniping shotgun guys.

None of the levels are extraordinarily large in size which is a good thing in my opinion. That's not to say you can't get stuck and have no idea where to go next. I am good at that.

Death Wish turned out to be something of the average wad that you would expect to find on cdrom.com. Align those textures next time Bob!! :-)
