| Kurt Kesler is one experienced
wad maker, with his K_metl series going from strength to strength.
KBoom is no exception to the rule as this wad is an awesome, and if you
couldn't tell already, it's a Boom only wad - so there must be a conveyor
belt in there somewhere! As usual (for Kurt's wads), you start off
with a backpack and three boxes of shells which gets you off to a good
start. From there you enter a large compund type area that is incredibly
detailed. This wad is all action with very limited puzzles, as demonstrated
by the use of only one key. There is an outside area that could have
made good use of the undernukage effect. Instead Kurt chose to make
a running stream that adds nicely to the gameplay and realism. The
difficulty levels are implemented well, so this wad would be great for
all abilities. KBoom is the best Boom wad out so far! |
