Review - David
This is Kurt's first new wave wad. Previously, Kurt was making wads that were Boom specific (the Kboom series) -complaints and critisims of this 'forced' Kurt into making his current wads suitable for all of the major ports.  It's a shame really, because with Boom's fx, Kurt came up with some brilliant new ideas in his Kboom wads.  BUT! The lack of Boom, does not make a difference to Khills in the slightist -it still has the class and style of Kurt's previous wads.  The architecture of the wad is brilliant. I found the beginning of the wad to be very interesting, especially a tunnel that appears to go underneath the main
building. There is some hills, so Khills is the perfect name for it, and once you hit the main outside area you can see why.  The badguy placements on Ultra Violence were reasonable, although it wasn't such a drag thru the mud as some wads are on Ultra Violence -and this is a good factor to the wad  The lack of cell powered weapons on Ultra V might make some people turn tail and run, but the only 'loss' is a little bit of bright colour flying through the air.  Kurt's use of textures is superb, he uses the original DoomII textures in ways ID themselves could learn from. The only new graphix in the wad is a group of slime textures which make a 'slime-fall', this is perfectly colour synched with the actual slime floor texture, and so although rather subtle this looks pretty neat.  Overall I found this wad fun to play, it's a good 15-20 minutes for the competant doomer, maybe quicker if they are on low difficulties. It's well worth
downloading and I give it my personal 7.5/10
    Weapons placement: 6/10
Ammo placement: 7/10
Health placement: 8/10
Bad guy placement: 8/10
Key placement (puzzle-ability ;-): 9/10

Overall 7.5/10
