| This
is truely a great level. It stands up the the Kboom name and demonstrates
plenty of Boom's new special effects. It has a great selection
of textures, and the architecture is above average. It provides quite a challenge even on Hurt Me Plenty. One of the things I liked most was how the translucentcy was used to to simulate a glass texture. Unfortunately it was not shootable =(. It used a 3d bridge similar to one developed by the Special Effects Team, but unfortunately the bridge in this map can be heard lowering and rasing =(. Monsters were subject to floating near the bridge. Other than needing some work on the special effects, this was a very interesting wad that should not be overlooked by Boom users. The ending scene was very well thought out and candy to the eye. |
