Review - Pixel Mage Rex
Yeah, the Dickies are awesome, so here's the tenth Dickie WAD, just like the
others, it's great.

Though not very detailed, the architecture is very eye catching. The level takes the ever popular castle theme, so yes, it's a very big level. You won't find even one big empty space without any adornments in the middle.  Texture allignment is PERFECT, not a single misalligned texture. But with all these adornments, you can get some pretty nasty vp overloads on the regular Doom 2 engine. Just try not to look at everything at one time.

Basically, everything about the map is good. It's the thing placement that takes this level down. It has one of the most common flaws: too tough. Eh, if you're gonna put 100 imps, go ahead, just give me some space to fight man!!!  Some places seems impossible, not even for pros, and when I saw those four arch-viles on Hurt Me Plenty..."eh **** *** ****!". Health and armor is bare too, two medikits are suppose to last thourgh a few revenants, an arch-vile, some imps, and so on?!? Well, the things arn't really all messed up, the author did a good job in placing fire sticks, flaming barrels, the decorating stuff, is well thought out.

Well, as a map designer, I found this WAD to be more of a learning experience. This WAD is nice for learning a few tricks to shine up your map too!
