Pagbsspd1 is yet another level to celebrate dooms 5th birthday. This level
is much like the first episode of ultimate doom, you know, the UAC bases with lots of hard-core combat on ultra violence but a walk in the park on Hey not to rough.

maybe it's me but i absolutely love levels like this one, lots of action, well
hidden secrets and plenty of items to keep you going. Item placement was just *there*, nothing fantastic but still good. I couldn't spot any flaws with items but the lights that were mounted on the wall look kind of funky, in that i mean there about two feet above you, but you can still see the base of the light. Enemys were like items, just *there*, but when you first step into the dome like structure ( see screenshot ) you are suddenly in Vietnam, enemys are all around but if you're smart you got that secret chaingun to mow em' all down.

The level itself is short but sweet. Level design was simple but it still was pleasing to just stop and look around. Lighting was so-so, i cant say i liked the lighting that much, just simple, nothing spectacular. I didn't spot any textures that didn't line up, speaking of textures, they were used quite well in this level, he kept the theme spot on, no marble or any other hellish textures, just a UAC theme.

The level was made a year ago but looks more like it was made right around when doom 2 came out due to the level design and combat, simple and intense, so if you are looking for a short but sweet level with lots of action, look no further. Even though this level has many features that i like, judge for yourself, there are a couple flaws to look out for so labeling this level was pretty difficult. I'll give it a 6.5, the size nocked it down a little and the flaw with the lights, but it's still a worthy download.

    Overall: 6.5/10
