The first impressions I had of this map were that (a) it was big (b) it was very
big (c) it was confusing. As I played it, (a) and (b) turned out to be correct.
Not, however, (c). The way this map has been designed makes it fairly clear
where you need to go. Sometimes it's not too obvious as to what a switch does,
and you have to make blind guesses as to what it's just done when you trip it.
(I realised this was a poor strategy when an archvile fried me unexpectedly.)

Not bad gameplay, however the ammo distribution etc. is very uneven. This made
playing it a fairly frantic experience at times, searching for ammo in unexpected
areas. The aforementioned quirk of design makes it fairly hard to remember where
to go when, but if you've got a good memory it won't be a problem really.
The skill settings are well implemented; it really is hard on UV and nice and
leisurely on skill 1.

No bugs. Well, that is to say, I didn't find any. There's plenty of room there
for bugs, but I didn't see any.

The aesthetics here are very nice indeed - the map is very castle-like in
appearance and really is reminiscent of Eternal Doom. It's much more detailed
in places, too. The textures on the map are used well -- there are parts that
really feel like a castle when it was new, and others that are manky old
corridors that feel like fairly unpleasant places to be in. There is much
variation in the themes; this makes the various areas unique and instantly
recognisable on the many back-tracks required. Very good job.

Why is it I can never find anything meaningful to say about thing placement?
I wonder whether I should remove that section in future reviews....

Pros: Large, detailed Eternal Doom-style castle map
Cons: May be slow, can be unstable

An excellent, long-lasting level. Should last many games.

Construction: 9/10
