Call Of Ktulu (BooM + DooM 2) ****

Really well done marble castle level. Not only this level looks good, but it also uses very well BooM's deep water effect and colormaps. First this WAD seemed much too easy, but soon I noticed that I was dealing with a level that had a good challenge to offer too! Not only this level is very good, but it also reminds me of some Requiem levels... This has a bit same style that some of them have.

Carrion1 (DooM 2) ***
1 deathmatch level.
Not very special level. Doesn't look like some high quality deathmatch levels, but it gives very good fragfest even with 2 players! Just don't play it too long or you get bored. The design really is very simple, and offers nothing special for your eyes.

Castle Of Eternal Carrot In The Sky (DooM 2 + BooM) ****

Detail and challenge after detail and challenge is what this level is about... In a castle that floats high above in the sky that is! Not the least complicated level out there and certainly not the least detailed one - actually it's one of those that makes my doom go slow and choppy in the most detailed areas (and beginning certainly happens to be one - see the screenshots). Some 3d-bridge effects are included too among the other effects... In the end of the level you go into some kind of tunnels under the castle... The difference is that normally in a castle the tunnels are under the ground but as this castle floats in the sky, so do the tunnels - and the walls there are see-through and exist only to keep you from falling from the sky. What waits in these tunnels...? Youll see for yourself!

Cataboom (BooM + DooM 2) ***

Wow, it took long and it was hard, but I made it through... This level can sometimes be a bit boring and frustrating when your trying to find a way and there doesnt seem to be one, but for most time this level was fun... Specially when I had no ammo left and I had to develop tactics to survive through bunch of vicious monsters... It's a maze kinda level, actually a catacomb, so if you dont like mazes then this is not for you.

Catharsis (DooM 2) ***

Rather easy 10 level pack. These levels are not any top quality levels, but rather fun to play easy small levels for little enjoyment. Some of the new sounds don't seem to fit, while some are very nice.

Chaos Project (DooM 2 & BooM) ****
18 levels, new graphics.
Very good set of levels. These levels are not just good, but they also use well BooM's abilities to create deep water, underwater places, translucent walls and lot's of stuff that wouldn't be possible with normal DooM. Author claims that Ultra Violence is only for expert players. I don't consider myself an expert (although I have title of DooM 2 Master). I'm sure that player like Yonathan Donner or some other real expert would have no problems at all with this WAD, but ordinary players will get good challenge and even DooM Masters will get enough challenge :)

Chordg (DooM 2) ****

Hmm... This level is _really_ hard. But unlike some very hard levels, this is also a good looking and detailed level. I couldn't play this level on UV, so I let that skill level for DooM gods and played on Hurt Me Plenty, which still was very challenging! The author has done lot to make this level also a beaty for eye! It looks really good! Note that anyone who is not good player enough to get the title of DooM Master should propably play on lowest skill level.

The picture tells pretty much... It looks like very ordinary shot of very ordinary place in very ordinary Episode-1 level :) It might not be special but it's gotta be good! And I'd say it might actually have been quite a bit better than E1 averagely is. It was easy enough to play without dying at reloading but gave enough challenge to be fun. Not good if you seek for a hard level but good for mellow old-fashioned shotgunning of imp ;) Uhm, I played the level and wrote this review when stoned - it might have influenced the experience.

Citadel Of Sorrow (DooM 2) ***

The first thing that hit to my consciousness was the music... It didn't seem to fit to the level... The next thing was sounds... But after playing for a minute I started to like those new sounds and the music actually fitted to the level. One thing that you need when you start playing this level is time, and the other is patience. It's a large, chaotic and and very confusing citadel level... Mostly in positive way. There are lot's of places to go and you can access most places in different ways (hint: don't go kill the Arch-Vile from the frontdoor of the great hall). Luckyly the level is not only big, but also challenging, so don't start to whine if you can't beat it on Ultra Violence (don't hesitate to play on lower skill level). Overally this level was pretty good and atmospheric, but there were few too dark areas and some noticable, but not major, texture aligment errors.

Classic 1 (DooM 1) ***

Ahh... The good old DooM 1 style. This level is tried to make with the same style, and it's a bit like original DooM 1 levels, but not enough... Some texture usage is very strange, but doesn't affect on the level feeling, so this experience is fully positive. All DooM 1 freaks should download this (and why not everybody else too)!

Didn't like this as much as the first one... This is made more in style of other DooM 1 episodes, and I prefer episode 1 to be the best! Anyway, this is a great level too, and sure it's made with original DooM style, and it's even better than some of original DooM levels with same style!

Classic 3 (DooM 1) ****

Really cool! I didn't just enjoy the look of this level, but this was also an awesome playing experience! In the end I run out of ammo, and I had to leave the Baron alive and kill some imps with chainsaw :) I'm sure that better players can save a little ammo for the end.

Classic 4 (DooM 1) ***

Episode 1 style it says, and I have to agree that the style had a lot to do with Episode 1 style, but it misses a lot from the original real style & feel of Episode 1. No it doesn't look bad, but I waited something better. The challenge is there! I can't say that the level was specially hard, but it wasn't exactly piece of cake either! Also the level structure is very interesting, but I leave that for you to see...

Clonage (BooM + DooM 2) ***

Mostly very good and challenging levels, but there are some flaws on them... I like the level design, but some walls are left un-aligned (although the text file says that textures have been aligned). This looks rather nasty, but it's only problem in few places. One thing I didn't like was that there was too much nuke in the second level... If you are low on health you don't really wan't to run through 30 meters of nuke :) and large areas of nukes are usually not a good idea to place on level... Anyway I managed to somehow stay alive...

Containment Area (ZDooM + DooM 2) ****

Awesome professional work in imitating original DooM style and much more... This levels style is based on E2M2 of DooM 1, a tribute to it. What makes this professionally done is that the level is made with almost exactly the same style as E2M2 but it's still a totally different level for mostly. Details are done quite damn well, theres a broken conveyor belt at one place that looks really nice and the crates (theres a lot of them) are definately better placed and rotated than in most WAD's that you find on internet... Even better than in most top quality WAD's I say. It's also quite large in size and to get through you gotta find all 6 keys that are scattered around the level while the nasty monsters are there to get you. And it's not going to be easy either this level has all kinda challenges from surprise attacks to cyberdemons or hordes of weaker monsters. All in all if this level was in original DooM 1, it would be the most professionally done level in the game!

Cool Stuff ]I[ (DooM 2) ***
Interesting and boring. These levels are fun to play. The structure is just nice, and I enjoyed the game, but some of the sounds, and unaligned textures just make me look and say 'Vittu' (finnish "bad" word). But hey! The levels are mainly nice, and well done!

Courtyard Escape (DooM 2 + limit removing port) ****

For a long time I haven't touched a DooM level and now I decided to try to get back to the track. First of all: I loved this level. It has all the elements of a great level! It has great new textures and music - although the textures come from another add-on texture pack that you need to download to play the level. It's non linear and challenging in two ways. It's challenging to find the right places to get through the level, and it's even more challenging to kill the enemies of this massive level - or even just stay alive in the middle of the massacre. The place is carefully planned and has loads of nice details. Check the screenshot, download the level and play it :)

Crabbet (BooM + DooM 2) ***

This level has a long multi-story building... Unfortunately the multi-story silent teleport effect hasn't done 100% right and sometimes it can create some trouble... And the level is mostly too boring and feels just like a too big demonstration of BooM's silent teleport trick for creating multi-story buildings... Fortunately at last in the end you get a little battle that makes you smile again :)

Crestfallen (DooM 2) ***
This level could easy get 4 stars from the style and challenge, but the size drops it to three... There's just not enough to play to keep you completely satisfyed... Anyway, the design is very good and the lightning is done very well... There's also pretty good challenge on UV... I lost the size of the zip-file, but it's not big... Actually very small to download...
