Do you have any specific wishes for which screenshots I should draw out? No, go nuts! I can post them more screens if you'd like particular angles or just more variety to choose from. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 16, 2011 Okay, so the last screenshots were actually of E1M7, but I incorrectly stated they were E1M6. Here's the actual E1M6, Central Processing. E1M6 in very early stages. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 17, 2011 First seven maps, with E1M6 in early construction phase. 0 Share this post Link to post
lupinx-Kassman Posted August 18, 2011 Looking fantastic man, keep it up! 0 Share this post Link to post
-_DLD_- Posted August 18, 2011 Quite stunning so far, I must say. The finished product should look nothing short of superb at the rate this is going. 0 Share this post Link to post

Koko Ricky Posted August 18, 2011 I've never called an illustration program so many bad words before. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 19, 2011 I've shown you guys E1M1, but here it is with a more detailed fuel station. Being that the map is called "Hangar" and the Intermission screen seems to imply some kind of landing pad, I figured this would be appropriate detail. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 20, 2011 E1M3 with more detail. It was looking a bit crude so I've been making it look a lot cleaner. I'm almost done refining the old buildings, I should be starting on E1M8 and E1M9 soon. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 21, 2011 E1M6 is damn near completion. Considering how vague the original artwork is, I'm really happy at how this one is turning out. 0 Share this post Link to post
Daiyu_Xiaoxiang Posted August 22, 2011 I thought it's a machine or something here. And I found E1M3 looks like a UFO. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 22, 2011 I need some help, guys. I can't seem to isolate the image of E1M9, which is always covered by text during the intermission screen. I tried using an extracting program, but only the animated segments of the intermission screens appeared. How can I isolate it? 0 Share this post Link to post
Mithran Denizen Posted August 22, 2011 Just open doom.wad up in SLADE 3, the main intermission screen lump is WIMAP0. You can then export it to a PNG by right-clicking on the lump name, and selecting Gfx -> Export as PNG. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 22, 2011 Thanks so much. This is really going to help with those last two buildings. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 24, 2011 E1M7 with more detail. E1M8 in progress. 0 Share this post Link to post
40oz Posted August 24, 2011 Come to think of it I never really got a good look at those buildings way back there. 0 Share this post Link to post
The_MártonJános Posted August 24, 2011 Now it's clarified that Phobos Anomaly is actually an UFO sitting on the pedestal of a Doric column from Ancient Greece. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 24, 2011 Detail of E1M8 with some strange Giger-esque tendrils. 0 Share this post Link to post
Daiyu_Xiaoxiang Posted August 25, 2011 And I wonder where's that star war room fighting those 2 barons in E1M8....... 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 25, 2011 E1M9 will be a bit tricky. I have the image isolated from the usual text that blocks it in the game, but it's still a very vague and small building. It will prove to be an interesting challenge! 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 25, 2011 First eight buildings and the mountain range, which is still in primitive form. 0 Share this post Link to post
Spazman Posted August 25, 2011 Hmm. If it had just a bit more detail, I'd say that the e1m8 tower would probably fit as a good e1m9 building. It looks pretty much the same, as far as i can tell. [edit:]Yep. it seems that it does fit. Just a few antennae/tower-like towers on the top of the building, and you got yourself a good military base, oh and if you can, make it slightly taller. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted August 28, 2011 More detail on E1M1, finally planted on the mountain range. 0 Share this post Link to post
