Revolution! MIDI Pack

About This File

Here's another MIDI Pack project! Because I haven't done one in ages. This time around we're composing a megawad's worth of original music for Revolution!, aka TVR!.

If you are not familiar with the megawad, I highly recommend it. It features highly creative map design from the brilliant Thomas van der Velden, whom you might be familiar with if you enjoyed Plutonia 2 or Harmony.

This project was fortunate enough to have the blessing of Thomas, who went to the trouble of creating graphical artwork for us and an ENTIRE NEW MAP for the MAP33 slot! Whoa!

A great addition to a great megawad. "Sappers & Moles" by yakfak takes the cake, best song of the bunch in my opinion.

A great add-on for giving new life to a fantastic megawad. Not every track is great memorable stuff which lowers the score, but still leagues better than no music at all. Hope many more of these packs are created, especially if they give an excuse to rebundle old wads and provide a new audience

Excellent! A much needed tribute to this classic megawad! I do wish such a similar undertaking was done in regards to one of the first classic megawads, Obituary. But regardless, keep up the good work.

A fun idea, a fun execution, and even more fun gameplay. Wonderful. A must play.

Great WAD, solidly nails that fantasy castle crawling feeling, not too rough on the player nor overly stingy/generous on supplies, encourages good use of items, plenty of navigation and switch puzzles as is apt for Heretic, but also lets loose with a little slaughter.   Some areas could use slightly brighter lighting, and sometimes the next switch or door isn't signalled too well, but overall a fun and feisty fantasy fight fest.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.
