oCrapaCreeper Posted March 6, 2020 I’m glad they actually specified the resolution/frame rate target. 4 Share this post Link to post
igg Posted March 6, 2020 Wow, didn't expect that. There's some hope for my GTX 1070 @ 1440 :-) Does the game have better settings than high quality? 1 Share this post Link to post

It probably has ultra settings, they're just not shown here because they'd be a bit excessive. 0 Share this post Link to post
NoXion Posted March 6, 2020 Damn, my current system just about squeaks by on the minimum specs. 64-bit Windows 10 Intel Core i7-7700 16GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) Time to start saving for a new gaming machine, I reckon. 2 Share this post Link to post
chemo Posted March 6, 2020 (edited) The requirements got removed from the store page. I wonder if they were outdated or something and the person who put it in goofed up. 0 Share this post Link to post
HavoX Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) welp. my GTX 960 isn't going to cut it oh well, I wasn't planning to play it anyway 1 Share this post Link to post
MFG38 Posted March 7, 2020 My hopes of running the game half-decently on my laptop are out the window. A perfect excuse to begin saving up for a desktop rig. 0 Share this post Link to post
Edward850 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) Two things for this thread: The alleged specs were taken down the same day (as of writing, the specs are removed from Steam), and this tweet: Proceed henceforth with the assumption that we don't have all the facts. 5 Share this post Link to post
snapshot Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) My 6GB GTX1060 is getting a bit older, Yikes... I may need to replace it soon. 0 Share this post Link to post
Foebane72 Posted March 7, 2020 You didn't cite a source, Dewmguy. Looks like I won't be able to run it on the PC I bought last year. Typical. Will there be a demo so I can make sure? 0 Share this post Link to post
Dimon12321 Posted March 7, 2020 Oh, no! My Radeon R9 270 can't handle it. I see the game requires 4 GBs of videomemory, so it's the bottleneck. 0 Share this post Link to post
seed Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) Well, it's mostly what I expected to see, except for: 13 hours ago, dewmguy said: Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB), RTX 2060 (8GB) or AMD Radeon RX Vega56 (8GB) WTF is this bullshit. And the game isn't even maxed out?????? Pff, yeah, just another reason to hate system requirements even more and move to consoles. Also nice to see the space requirements are actually lower than D2016, but no doubt it will increase noticeably after the DLCs. tl;dr RIP in peace GTX 950. 0 Share this post Link to post

seed Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) 2 minutes ago, sluggard said: They're not Unless I'm that bad at math, 50GB is less than 55 :p . But that will soon become insignificant after a few updates and the DLCs anyway. It will probably reach 70, maybe 80GB by the time support ends and all DLCs get released. Meh, at least I wasn't planning on playing it in the next couple of years anyway. I really need to get a console because I've had enough of this PC bullshit. 1 Share this post Link to post

NoXion Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) A lot of the advanced graphics settings on my Doom 2016 installation are set at Ultra, and it runs just fine. Is Doom Eternal really that demanding? I was expecting something a bit more scaleable. 0 Share this post Link to post
Redneckerz Posted March 7, 2020 System requirements definitely seem to imply Eternal will also hit PS5/Xbox Series X as they are definitely raised specs. 0 Share this post Link to post
Szymanski Posted March 7, 2020 Running an I7 2600k and 970GTX and i'll happily take 1080p at low settings 0 Share this post Link to post
Flesh420 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) AMD 8320 (a shit CPU lemme tell ya) and ATI Fury with 16gigs here and I can play '16 Ultra at 80-120 fps on a 144hz monitor. According to Can I Run It my pc doesn't hit the recommended mark in the cpu department, and it's about the same with Doom Eternal. So it'll be interesting to see how this goes. 0 Share this post Link to post
Foebane72 Posted March 7, 2020 Will there be a demo for Doom Eternal, so we can see if the game will run without paying full price for it first? 0 Share this post Link to post
