Scuba Steve Posted September 27, 2020 Enjoying these very much. The articles are interesting and unique—they aren't simply rehashed discussions and cover topics that haven't been highlighted in the past. Additionally, the comical advertising vignettes break up the zine and provide fun breaks for the reader. You have really improved the quality since that first issue... keep going. Font choices and layout have gotten much cleaner; the @LiT_gam3r article on the Doom comic has the best formatting in the zine—the rest of the magazine should take a page (lol) from his article and add a apace after paragraphs and eliminate indented paragraphs while making sure all articles are using the same font for the body. I adore the GamePro theme @Roebloz added to his article. Keep up the good work. 14 Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted September 27, 2020 I'm excited to read this! I can't wait to see how you set up my article. Thank you so much @Endless, and a huge thanks to @BluePineapple72 for editing the article! A huge help! 3 Share this post Link to post

As for the designs that have been chosen for the articles; in fact this visual redesign is in charge of the editors/graphic designers: @Nikoxenos and @4MaTC ! They choose the theme and format to be applied to each of the articles. ;) 3 Share this post Link to post

AtticTelephone Posted September 28, 2020 Quote Station 13 (Boom-compatible/WIP - 3-level miniwad) - A mapset best played with a strong appreciation for Wolf3D, too clean detailing, and when you are really craving for more novice mappers’ content. By AtticTelephone It's actually limit-removing, and it's also not even done. 0 Share this post Link to post

Last time I checked, you classified that as a Boom-compatible project, and the maps seem to play like one. You might have made the change too late, when the reviews have got submitted. Perhaps someone at the editor crew could edit out the mistake - so apologize for the misinformation. 0 Share this post Link to post

Smoothandz Posted October 2, 2020 This is a shining example of why this community is sooooo awesome. Not for business, not for profit, not even bragging rights... this is a creation of love. It's obvious that a lot of hard work and dedication went into this and it shows. I only hope that all of those that brought this to fruition will see this comment. This is awesome and I hope to see more in the future! 4 Share this post Link to post

Scuba Steve Posted October 8, 2020 The wadzine webpage should just list every issue by it's cover in an array to really show them off. 6 Share this post Link to post

Jakub Majewski Posted November 9, 2020 Thanks for featuring my mod in the section for new stuff! Can you clarify what do you mean by saying that SPIADW was inspired by noclip? Do you mean the command that lets you go through walls? Are you referring to the documentary film series about video games? I legitimately don't know what you're referring to, lmao. If you're upset about me necrobumping, sorry. 2 Share this post Link to post

Newstuff author - maintainer here (also credited at the beginning of the guide), that was mainly a shit attempt of humor (and me being half-drunk at the time) on my part. I did find some of the mod's contents a bit too surreal for my tastes (Hexen weapon sprites mixed with cartoon fantasy enemy creatures for example) but nonetheless enjoyable. 3 Share this post Link to post

Not sure what you mean by wadazine webpage but at my site I did something like what you mentioned. But my site is just a mirror of sorts so I guess it’s not that relevant. https://windward.dk/TDR/?page_id=991 1 Share this post Link to post
Scuba Steve Posted November 10, 2020 (edited) Something like this... so you can visually see every cover as you scroll. Hmm... this would actually be pretty neat for the Cacoward main page to show every intro picture for each year. 7 Share this post Link to post
