Can I adjust offset of flats in SLADE?

Question

I'm on Linux and am using SLADE. I haven't figured out how to adjust the offsets of floor and ceiling flats. I'm editing a vanilla doom wad. Do I have to convert it, or can I just adjust the offsets?

Only UDMF allows modifying flat offsets. For vanilla Doom format, you'll have no choice but to shuffle your sectors around -- or create alternate flat graphics with baked-in offsets.

You can make a new version of the flat with the offsets adjusted, using an image editor. It would be nice if Slade had an offset graphic dialog to simplify this a bit.

You can in vanilla by creating flats with adjusted offsets. Otherwise, UDMF allows you to do it natively. Anyway, welcome to Doomworld, and most importantly welcome to Doom modding! You'll have a great time.

Alright. I how do I do it for a GZDoom wad?

You set the map format to UDMF. And then you adjust offsets just like you'd do with walls, with the number pad in visual mod or through the properties. Here's a quick test map I whipped up in SLADE just now.

That looks sick! (The UAC ceilings look a bit off though)
