Not really related to Doom but rather Wolfenstein 3D, and I had to share it because this is Phoenix Games-tier quality bad box art.

They used this as the box art for a Shareware release of Spear of Destiny.

Did... the artist not get the memo that it was a shooter fighting WW2 Nazis? It looks like the only pointer that was given to the guys responsible for the box art was "Game's called Spear of Destiny. Make box art." This seems like a reasonable box-art if the only thing they knew about Spear of Destiny was the name.
