Wow this looks cool!  I've never actually played the adventures of square but this could be a nice way to check it out and see if I want to play all of the original.  Great trailer too, those map fly-throughs are showing off some beautiful levels.  Glad you finally got this out!

Ah. I’ll update the OP to be more specific. Some particularly rowdy resources you had compiled were used for the secret levels.

Never played Adventures of Square, but my kids loved it. Don't know if it was intended, but you allow parents to let their younger children play Doom totally guilt free. Their both actually good at Doom, show 0 fear and know it's only game but sometimes I watch them shooting the heart on a table or pressing a hanging corspe looking for secrets and feel a little bad. Thanks to great TC's like this, Hocus Doom and Golden Souls we have a great way to teach the next generation. Definitely try it myself one day, the maps look great.

Found this issue on EVIIIA9. I can see through the map at this spot.

Running on GZDoom 4.8.2.

I found two exits on this map and both lead to map EVIIIA13. Is this correct? I thought one of them was a secret exit to EVIIIA32.

Hi there, thank you for the feedback! These are my maps. I will go and fix the issues as soon as possible. 
About the secret map:

Indeed, one of them is supposed to lead to map32. We'll fix that. Thank you! I recommend you warp there with console commands and check it out like that, for now.

In addition to a few map updates, RC2 will compile the square-fulltex pack into the speedsquared pack for ease of launching. I've been told of some issues people have been having with launching the wad with 3 separate pk3s. So I'll just compile two of them together since one of them is smaller.

I just played through the first 11 maps. Great stuff folks! I played on medium difficulty and thought that one or two more maps could use some more balancing perhaps. I got stuck on @Scypek2's map, plus there's one missing texture there. Please have a look and see if you spot anything you might want to tackle. Video over here.

Wow, I knew about the missing texture, but the 3d platforms to the red key are completely invisible! I can see a limited palette in your video... were you playing in software renderer? It supports 3d floors, but not sloped 3d floors... Square is such a GZDoom-y game, playing it in software renderer didn't even cross my mind.

 

Edit: the "clipping ladder" (I don't think it's possible at all in hardware renderer for stuff to be drawn under the floor like that) and the "misaligned texture" right after (I set the texture scale to -1 to flip it horizontally, I guess that may be inconsistent between software and hardware too?) seem to be the same issue. I'm surprised there wasn't more broken stuff along the way. That one missing texture was legit though.

Found this missing texture on EVIIIA16:

Also, after I have finished this level, I got sent to the first map of the original campaign, E1A1. I don't know why this happened. Maybe because I had to use the "map" command to start EVIIIA32 so it kinda messed up the map rotation? Idk, just guessing here. I can safely start EVIIIA17 and move on, just figured I'd report this.

Found more issues:

1) On EVIIIA19, the first secret only gets registered if the player stands at this spot (where I'm aiming at).

2) On EVIIIA20, you can actually jump over and inside one of the enemy closets and get stuck there. It's the one with the three laser robots that opens up after collecting one of the keys (circular key, I think). I had to noclip to get out of there.

3) On EVIIIA21, this elevator doesn't work, so you can't return without noclipping.

Never played adventures of square but this was a great way to get introduced to it.  Of course all the assets from the game are cool, actually better than I thought once I see all the animation in motion.  But the levels also looked great and had some fun use of vertical spaces with the jump button.  Great themes as well, E1M1, a cheeseburger factory, a dam, it all looks great!

I have this same problem, had to warp to EVIIIA17 as well.

Great maps tho; having a blast with these, great work especially for speed mapping.
