Arsinikk Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) The final Community Project release is here: Original Post below: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Introducing a mini one week long Christmas Community Project: 100 Line Christmas is a mini community project targeting Vanilla Doom 2 (complevel 2). The project is inspired by mine and NinjaDelphox's 100 Line Massacre. This is to celebrate both the Christmas season and 100 Line Massacre getting a Cacowards 2022 honorable mention. As the 100 in the title suggests, each map will be limited to 100 lines at most. As mine and NinjaDelphox's projects have previously demonstrated, the line limit provides for fast but chaotic combat puzzle maps that do not drag or out-stay their welcome. Deadline: Your map must be submitted before 12pm CST on Christmas Eve (12/24/22) Most of the project info can be found on the Discord server, but I will detail some of the rules here: 🔹Each map should have at most 100 lines. Any more will be rejected. There is no limit on vertices or things.🔹The map must be Vanilla only. Our map testers will be testing the maps in Chocolate Doom to make sure Vanilla bugs (lines blocking use, tutti-frutti) don't happen.🔹Each map must end with a Christmas Tree decoration (floating skull rock).🔹Each map must use some kind of Christmas midi!🔹Only one map per mapper. This is meant to be a short small CP (~7-11 maps)🔹All maps must have possible 100% kills/items/secrets. Every map must have at least 1 monster, 1 item, and 1 secret. 🔹The main difficulty is Ultra-Violence. All difficulties will be implemented. It's fine to upload only UV for a test run first. If you need help, I can assist with lower difficulty placement.🔹No Icon of Sin. We have a final map that uses it.🔹Multiplayer starts should be added to every map. Not every map needs to be made for multiplayer, but the starts should be there.🔹Mapping Deadline is Christmas Eve (12/24/22). This mapset will use 100lnmas-Tex which is based on DoomXMas Resource Pack with some minor additions and some dehacked changes. You can download it from the Discord development server below. Dehacked changes: 🔹Minor Christmas GFX and SFX changes. 🔹Stock textures replaced with snowy more Christmasy versions. 🔹SS Nazis replaced with fast imp monster from 100 Line Massacre (MAP10). 🔹Keens replaced with hanging marine keens seen in 100 Line Massacre (MAP30).
