I moved to the other side of the country on January 1st 2020 for the change of scenery, giving up most of my family and all my friends in the process. Not an easy decision, but the best one I could have made.

Yes, after a bout of horrible rain for Auckland too. Meanwhile here on the West Coast of the South Island, infamous for it's rain, we had one of our hottest summers ever complete with conserve water notice.

Our power has been out for quite a while now but damage and flooding has been minimal to where I'm at since I'm up a bit higher. Hope you're staying safe mate!

Supposedly some heavy winds blew through town earlier but it was dead quiet at my house. Am in town now at my business and all seems well.

I was never really satisfied with how it turned out and in fact ended up canning it very recently, but at least someone did a glowing review of it not too long after it was released. I especially like the bit where he points out that one of the maps I did for it was based on Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, since I spent a lot of effort into making a very faithful recreation and I'm glad to know somebody noticed it.

I just bought a trailer and I'm renting it out to a recovering addict who can't get good housing anywhere else, it's actually sweet. Their parole officers who do unannounced check-ins are like my unpaid property managers.

I'm proud of playing Doom franchise, Half-Life, STALKER, immersive sims like Dishonored and other fantastics games.

There are just a couple irrelevant little oddities, niche within niche within niche achievements in the Thief franchise of video games. I am both the first Taffer and probably the only Taffer who will ever bother to have achieved them. I am VERY proud of it btw.

My career. I have several designations and set myself up to work in an industry and job that I really enjoy and that leaves me fulfilled. Makes day to day a lot easier knowing that I'm doing some good out there while supporting my family.
