How to remove black bars on DOOM Retro

Hello DOOM Lovers.

DOOM Retro is, for me, the best source port if you wanna play Vanilla. Maybe you have used it sometime.

I noticed that when playing, theres black bars, you can remove them if you change the screen size to widescreen, but i wanted to play it no widescreen and no black bars, and i discovered how to do it:

Instructions:
Open your DOOM Retro folder

Open with Notepad the file "doomretro.cfg"

Click Edit, then Find

In the Find window, press Down in Direction 

Search "vid_borderlesswindow on" 

Change the "on" with an "off"

Finally, search "vid_screenresolution desktop"
Change the "desktop" to "800x600"

Now you're done! 

Remember that you need to have enabled Resolution Stretching on your graphic card API!

I think you're basically referring to disabling aspect ratio correction. That's what you need if you like those big, juicy, stretched weapons

Why would you do this instead of just using widescreen?

Keep in mind tho, despite the name Doom Retro is far from a vanilla port. For that you will need Chocolate Doom.

I didn't installed C.DOOM to play Retro

Beacuse i like the stretched look of the game, and i think im not the only ;)
