A new game Retchid is in EA on steam but I found out the monsters said to be in the game are not from Retchid as the developers told me so....Anyone have a clue what game these creatures are from?

Why did you post some random AI-generated images and try to say they're from some random game on Steam (which they clearly aren't)?

So from my findings, those are indeed just AI-generated images sourced from a very feckless article written about the game back in September. Considering the game released in early access a month later and was in development for several years, complete with its own website and social media providing updates on its progress including tons of screenshots and videos, I've no idea why they did that.

It kind of seems like he’s asking where the developer acquired the enemy art assets. I played a game called Exanima not too long ago and discovered the developers purchased a few select demon and monster models from an artist’s site.

I tried Retchid recently as well. Someone here recommended it, it’s pretty fun.

That entire website is AI-generated. I guess this is the future of the Internet. Endless machine-generated garbage.

Regarding the game, I've never heard of it before, but I see it has a number of Steam reviews positively comparing it to DOOM 3. I guess I'll take a look at it, although I'll be wary of glowing praise for it due to that ridiculous article.

Looks like Doom 2016 and Dead Space were put into the AI generator as ideas to extract from, after which it shat out these images. 

Now, I've actually played Retched, a lot, and I cannot fathom what arse these screenshots are pulled from.

Looking at the game itself, I have no idea how these two are related. Retchid looks very much like a Doom 3 inspired idea, meanwhile this looks like someone just went into AI software and went, "Maeke Doem Tooenti Sexten but beater ples"

I could tell this was AI just by the monster design. On one of those "AI Picture" threads, I posted an AI Pinky that looked very similar to those monsters.

I am entertained by the fact that, just like an unskilled human artist, the AI seems to do its best to not try drawing proper feet.

As a more interesting topic than, whatever this thread was, what do we actually know about this render?

To my knowledge it was more a fan experiment render to guess at what Doom 4 would look like and never official.

I DID ask them! It says so in the post. It says the developers told me those creatures are not from Retchid! They told me in a discussion on Steam. I didn't ignore anything. Apparently your reading comprehension is questionable, and I guess my eyes are questionable for not being able to tell instantaneously that those creature models aren't real models.

Speaking of Retchid, I started a thread about it a while back. :P

I provided a link afterwards showing it was made by a Russian (?) artist that back in the day attempted to see if what a Doom 4 would look like. In doing so, he used Chaos Group's V-Ray renderer to render it. I found some threads that talk about it, and i distinctly remember myself it was a topic on forums (Overclockers). This was before any social media entered the building though, so you could get away with a believable render like that.

You should ask yourself why they showed oyu those pictures to begin with? Atleast you took it serious enough to register on Doomworld and make a thread about it.

1. They were joking with you and you took that seriously
2. They aren't operating in professional taste if this is the kind of stuff they would send to you.

I am not rude, but you are making a thread with pictures saying that devs told you these aren't from the game... no reciepts or anything.
Its like my uncle works at Nintendo and has heard Nintendo is coming out with a console.

You should ask yourself why they showed oyu those pictures to begin with? Atleast you took it serious enough to register on Doomworld and make a thread about it.

It was a simple question and I got bombarded by rude comments. Yes, the devs told me they are not from their game, so I figured these forums would be a good place to see if anyone knew the game they might be from if at all. Whats wrong with that? Btw, thanks for at least some info on where those creatures came from. I was just curious because I personally love the art direction of them.

Well, if you made the post a bit clearer with some actual context, then the "rude comments" could have been avoided. Instead of throwing shade at people, perhaps reword your OP.

Just a suggestion, since all we got was a badly worded topic name, with some AI generated images and not alot else.
