Map 02 UV MAX 9:06,03

The first half of the level is not the fastest, but I still don't know what to do to get enough rockets for the revenants

Hey, welcome, can you repackage this as a zip? (same applies to AV demo)

Map 08 UV-Max in 42:04.

This demo went atrociously, nothing infighted as I wanted them to and I took so much unnecessary damage.

The sole reason I wanted to share is that I found a way to keep the door open in the final fight. As far as I know, "new" sunder (I probably dont have the latest version tho...) moved the door-locking linedef further back so the old method of cheesing won't work. However if you hit the switch and run in fast enough before the door fully opens, it's possible to skip the door closing (timestamp 00:31:15 in video). Idk this might be useful for someone.

Has anyone else found out about this yet?:)

Thanks for adding it to DSDA. By the way, when it says "recorded in skill 3, plays back in skill 4" in the description of my demo on DSDA, what does that mean exactly? I wasn't even aware skill 3 and 4 meant anything with the -nomo parameter. Should I be including "-skill 4" in the parameters anyways for nomo demos?

Yeah, nomo demos are expected to run on skill 4. Skill choice affects item placement in nomo, when it differs, which rarely affects nomo but can in some cases.

I presume you are mostly referring to weapons and power-ups, but those skill-level differences can also involve items that block player movement, or player start locations (plus teleporters, etc., as well as the "monsters" that appear despite the -nomonsters parameter), both making a fundamental difference in nomo. Hard to say exactly how widespread this is, given that skills 1/2 and 3 are so rarely used for recording. As an example, there is Scythe map28, where differences in scenery items allow a shorter path to the exit.

congrats on finishing the grind, you've been at this for a while now on stream. When a run turns into such a luck-fest like this one is now with improvements being contingent on rare conditions, you know you have made a good demo. Nobody will want to touch this run for at least a couple years I'd wager, or until someone sees this post and has enough competitive drive to develop an inane obsession over beating it
