Matt Eldrydge Posted February 8 Been a while since I posted anything here. Suffice to say I kinda get bored from focusing on any given map for too long, so here, a green place. Kinda trying to incorporate some Quake-y-ness into the design and flow where possible. Very WIP but I already have a good handle on what the aesthetic and vibe will be, likely easy slaughterlite-type stuff. D0M0 Posted February 10 In the spoiler is a couple of photos for a project i've been working on the past couple weeks. I've kinda drifted off doing speed demos for the time being and instead wanted to have a go at making some unique maps. This WAD may not be released to the public as its main purpose is to serve as a gift for someone I know. Really it's up to them whether I can put it up next week or not, although it's going to go through several edits so that nothing personal of this anonymous person is shown. Personally I think this turned out alright for a first attempt at making a WAD, although I have been several times close to just giving up solely because a lot of the maps I was kinda dry on ideas. This level is based around control of the central jump pad - as it is used to reach the upper levels of the map. Frank Harper Posted February 12 Spent a lot of time finding a good balance between the visuals and the limitations of vanilla. In this sense, the second most difficult part of the level is ready. This room was already pretty close to the limits even in its basic state, and I had to make huge compromises to get it to work properly. The pincer cranes were a bit tricky to get right, but I'm happy w/ them now. I'm glad to have found a home for my 3D floors forklift!
