Caco king is most definitely the pink room with a caco on the throne, for example. Out of these, I think @SmolGhost is the only one unlikely to reply, as the last time he visited the forum was in December 10th, 2023. If his boxes are not found, I'll open up that slot for the extra boxes I already have, and if there are still empty slots, I'll open them to other mappers, even those who have reached the 3 map quota. Additionally, a big problem of this project was the height variation of the door sectors. a box that starts at 0 units and goes to 128 units tall for the exit door means an offset of 128 pixels for all subsequent boxes. Now I just have to place them and adjust the height offsets, and reach out to individual mappers if anything breaks. I ask because the whole point of my Box is to trick the player into thinking they're going to get a BFG but instead they just get monster spawned, so the player already having a BFG when entering the room would make that moment way less potent 0 Share this post Link to post

Though that's a devilish idea, making the player try to get that thing ahead of time. Alright, I've received your box 11 and it sits close to the one that's on the map. We'll see what happens. Time to ask again on the thread. Who made this box? DoomGappy Posted March 3 (edited) New version up so that you can check your boxes. Some notes: - Had to do some retexturing in some parts due to the grid. Unfortunately, we didn't predict the boxes shifting around so much. If you don't like a paticular retexturing, send me a DM. - Tried to make the map more navigable by having doors be openable from both sides, or be triggered open stay after the player reaches a certain point. - Removed Box 11 because both submissions of it have problems and need to be reworked. Will reach out to mappers soon. - Map is navigable until map 31, which is a bit buggy due to the height offsetting. @macro, I will probably need you to manually edit this Box later, so be aware. Both of your submissions are amazing, though. - Removed the red key and red key door from @taufan99's map, and reworked the way the Revenant is hidden. Tell me if you like the idea or not! - Replaced the red bars in one of the player`s boxes. I think it's box eight but it appears in fourth. I may have made a mistake. - Used a little texture under doors to represent a change of box. Boxes from the same author or boxes that don't have doors between them don't use it. - I've been doing mostly no monster runs to check for mechanics for now. Playing and rebalancing will come later. Making progression flow will be a challenge, so help is appreciated. - Most of the boxes are already inside the file but need to be realocated to fit better. - There will be some corridors.
