When the megawad is released, there will be some wheels scattered around the new map02, so it might be interesting for Grungo to take a look to see what they look like so he can show to his friends from the past.

In fact, it's interesting that Grungo explore the new map02 very well when it comes out. Maybe it has a secret that literally takes him back in time. Who knows?
The Royal We feels tenderly towards Grungo, maybe there's a surprise there for this very interesting neanderthal gentleman... :)

I would join plutonite, but me have trouble with future living space as grungo need paperwork for id card, so me can get job, so me guess doom stuff will forever be gone and me not have enough time for fun

If the plutonite project exists and gets off the ground, I think Grungo should definitely take part by making a map. There are many different, cavernous TNT maps that fit in very well with the aesthetic I imagine Grungo would do (but don't forget to study the respective map and Plutonia creators too, ex-Grungo-rex!).

yes, but you see, grungo may not ever make map EVER again, grungo have to find job to fund new home, or else, grungo will be caveless, which means grungo will have find job and grungo never relly worked before, and I must work to survive, and grungo believes that he won't have time for hobbies because grungo will have live on own or with grungo tribe leader, but tribe leader have no job and depressed and grungo fears tribe leader won't do part and grungo have work full time

Don't worry about it for now, Grungo. Take it easy. Life is long and full of wonders. I work, study and map as a hobby. Things will fall into place. That being said, I will thank you for your support, but ask that we limit discussion in the topic to the project's development. We have received almost all the maps now and are finishing up the latest round of feedbacks and bughunting. We have lots and lots of cool songs, new graphics and new levels to show you. Thanks again for your enthusiastic cheering for our project!

I know sometimes things seem bleak , Grungo, but i myself work full time and have multiple hobbies including Doom. Maybe you won't have time at first but once you have some stability you may be surprised by your ability to still engage in hobbies. I hope things get better for Grungo and Grungo tribe leader.

As DankMetal has said, we still have to receive 4 maps. After that we will do a little phase of quality checking and then we will do testing with all the maps packed. Then we will be able to release it. It may take a while, grungo, but we're working hard!

Played through the "shareware" first 8 maps. Great stuff. What a great idea for a wad, too! And of course I always love seeing Doom 1 textures in a Doom 2 wad.

 

One teeny minor typo: on the fake BUY ME screen, details is misspelled as "destails"

Hello, it's been a while. Making a new post here to update people on the situation of the project. Let's get to it.

We've received 28 of the 32 maps already. The 4 we still haven't received are well underway. We have also recerived close to two megawads worth of tracks. Development is taking place in the server, but we should soon have an RC1 release to show here. In the meanwhile, if any playtesters want to see how things are going, we have an internal build. I look forward to hearing what you think of the full version! Several maps in the shareware version have been changed or adjusted according to feedback from Discord staff. If you want to take part in the final playtests, you're invited!

You know if you did go back in time and give a caveman KFC I think it would literally kill them because of how absolutely foreign and radical it would be to their ancient diet

RC means Release Candidate, it's a polished version of the WAD with most of the bugs we found fixed. Of course, when people play it, they will probably find more bugs that we'll have to squash one by one. Then we release an RC2, RC3, until we finally have the best version to release on idgames.

Here are some screenshots (without monsters) of map28 (e3m9 + map28) that I'm making with @SpaceCat_2001.

Some (many) parts are working in progress, and will be changed and refined for the final version.

I've tried not to give away much spoilers, but I don't think it's news to anyone that the main theme of E3M9 is “fake exits”

The lack of monsters takes away some of the aura of map 28, but they'll all be there waiting for you!
