Setting song to certain maps (and best program to do so)

Question

So, the New Custom Midi Pack for the Master Levels have been released, which is all very good, but i usually use a version knows as "master levels plus". it's basically a version that puts thhe maps into episodes and also includes more maps to make little campaigns. But i would like to set the certain Midis to their certain maps. (the can use regular doom music, which is fine by me). it's also a pk3 file. I so far used slade to put all the Midis into the Master Levels Plus pk3, what would be the next course of action, and what program should i use?
Thank you very much for the help.

Only problem you will find is that there far more maps on master Levels Plus than midis for the maps :/

Aside from that, Slade has everything you need.

Open Master Levels Plus, MLP from now on, with Slade and search the file MAPINFO, click on it and it will appear as a text on the side.

Now, there is the map definition for every map on MLP, so you have to search for the line that said ''music ='' and put the name of the song you want for that map after the =.

For example ''music = d_runnin''.

You will have to do that for every map you want the new midi pack music, and also, its better you know what midi is named after what map.

Check this page and order it per level. On one column you will find that every midi has a name that correspond to an especific map slot.

https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Doom_II_music

For example, no matter what megawad you are playing, map01 always has D_RUNNIN as it midi.

The trick is that you can use whatever midi you want and name it D_RUNNIN and it will sound as the midi for the map01 slot.

Hope you understand this.

Turns out it doesn't work. At all, sadly. GZDoom refuses to acknowledge the midis being part of the wad, and just continues to play the title theme whenever i start a certain episode, and acts like the MAPINFO doesn't say which midi to play. The strangest thing is that when i try to access the last episode, Tom mustaine's levels, it tells me that the level Paradox straight up does not exist (in the console), even thought i imported the wad 2 minutes ago.
Am i doing something wrong here? what it could be:
the midis should be next to the map files?
the name of the midis are too long, or there needs to be a specific way to name them? (D_runnin" for example)

Show us your MAPINFO.

No other lumps may be inserted into the map namespace.

Music lumps must be outside of the map namespace,

do you see a problem with it?

i think that without a cluster definition they wouldn't work, i remember experiencing this long ago, but since then i always do it, need it or not, so i can't say for sure.

Just add a cluster definition and a cluster number for all the maps and i think it would work.
