hmmm nice nice, my only complaint though on the map is that you get endgame weapons on first level

I know the map is kinda hard, but would it be ok just to have only a SSG and a Plasma Gun, and keep out the BFG and RL?

I thought the wad was supposed to be pistol start.

well I meant that all maps SHOULD be pistol startable...

but not every level should force you to pistol start...

Happy Friday! Chicago critical Mass Bike ride tonight; 20 miles today, having a delmonico steak with my buddy and restarting my map 31 for the Doom 2 in Song only CP... my tune "Evil incarnate" was written by Bobby Prince for lvl21 of Wolfenstein 3d: Spear of destiny. as a new mapper i look to the past for guidance. Xaser i believe did the Doom 2: In Name Only map 31 and lovely Jimmy Paddock did a cover of the tune for the map pack. I have preliminary ideas for the level, am dialing back the scale. As a map 31 i'm goin to be truthful to the original and have a normal and secret exit. my quandary is, germany aside, what's the communitie's opinion on using Nazi iconography in context and artistic rendition? im using the special textures and homage to the original with my own style and still trying to hold true to the design brief. what 'chyall thinkin about 100 nazi scalps? ;Cuz I'm not leaving till i get my scalps!...

hmmm maybe add shit that's evil... Nazis, 666s, DMVs, Arcviles, Chaingunners, traps, the works!

also maybe make the map... hard and evil, like make it sorta slaughter map-y, something to get the player's blood pumping and maybe have to reload a save or two

how do you get blue key? I am stuck, I tried finding another switch but no luck

(also by the way,  area with cyberdemon and archvile? could you add a invuln and maybe a BFG to the area? I had to godmode because it was too difficult)

Is something broken? The switches are found by: pressing the screen in the little bunker, flipping the switch and following the path, and shooting that switch, that should raise the platforms to the last switch where the blue key lowers in the house

 

and sure I’ll add something to the hard section

yeah it raises platform, but only one platform

ok I realize one of the switches to lower a wall isn't a switch texture but something that blends too well into the backround, abiet the ico of sin tv

can you please make thar a normal switch texture? not everyone is gonna realize that's a switch

This is it, I get that texture is hard to see so I made the geometry easier to recognize, it's a puzzle after all, there's got to be some thinking going on to solve it.
