Have you ever played the psx version of Doom?

Yeah, it was the good ol' doom, but with a more captivating atmosphere in it.

It had 1 new monster (and 1 was missing), new more eerie sounds and tracks, color lighting, but most importantly, 8 brand new maps!

It was Awesome! At least for the 90s standard, now... well, it didn't age too well.

But do not despair! For I am here to fix that! (I hope so)

I wanted to give new life to those wonderful and unique levels that brought nightmares in my childhood, giving them an improved look with the powerful tools at my disposal, but without going too much overboard with the fancyness, I still wanted to maintain a certain fidelity to the originals, and improved gameplay with extra spicyness, because nowadays we consider vanilla Doom quite too easy and plain, but that's not everything!

Since I've already released the single revamped maps singularly, with this pack I wanted to create something that could stick everything together, so I wrote a simple, banal and completely unnecessary lore behind it!

I also modified every map to better connect them to the others and have a continuity.

Of course I fixed the fixable (and for that I have to thank the mighty @thiccyosh for the testing out of the entirety of the thing), slightly improved the scripting and mod compatibility and added cooperative compatibility! (hopefully... I couldn't test with friends so... I can say it starts up and work in a single player coop with GZDoom)

Let's see what I added so far to this, shall we?

  • New graphics
  • New textures
  • 3 new monsters
  • 1 new powerup
  • Brightmaps (also thanks to the mod BRIGHTMAPS PLUS 1.9.1)
  • New sounds (a couple of "my own" and the monsters etc. from DOOM PLAYSTATION SOUND REVISITED)
  • New lights
  • Breakable decorations

You can find all of the credits directly inside the zip file!
