hello im very new on doom world but i made a wad for doom 2 and i would like to share it its very basic but not easy can tell you that!

You did good!!! Make sure to get rid of the bugs, some rooms have been turned into doors by mistake. Now, you can get into more complex architecture & aesthetics. Try to vary the heights in your maps. Use stairs & lifts. Make full use of the openGL stuff by making very dark areas lighted with lamps & torches. Try urban maps & truly demonic areas. Learn from other WADs like Brutal Doom & Breakpoint. Map a couple of minutes or hours every day...

I played only the first 2 maps, but so far, it's fine for a first WAD.

 

You should definitely playtest your levels before you post them, and that's pretty much it.

That broken door suddenly closing on me in the first map scared the shit out of me, I thought it was a ceiling trap. That has to be the first time I've ever been juked with a fake-trap like that (even though I'm sure it wasn't intentional). Fun maps! I couldn't continue though because the door was broken and I was playing on a difficulty that disabled cheats so I couldn't just noclip through it.

I used to do that all the time and destroy my map looking for the issue when it's just some teenyweeny line I accidentally gave the special to...super fun! Lol
