Unfortunately for you, while you were sleeping, a demon decided it's a good home for him and his buddies, so they joined, surrounding you in. You know the drill, get back out the same way you came in from, killing everything in your path. Map Name: Exitway Slot: Map01 IWAD: Doom 2 Tested on: DSDA Doom 0.24 Complevel: 9 Difficulties: Yes. Download: Exitway.zip Final version changes: Rebalance, both ammunition and health. It is now slightly harder to spam plasma weapons, if you find all secrets. You have more ammo on other weapons to compensate. Finished up a secret area. It's now a bit bigger. And deadlier Fixed some minor texturing issues. Here are the v1 fixes: Monster composition change in one place. Forgotten texture in a secret area (They thankfully didn't visit) Some extra indication for a secret puzzle. A change in combat dynamics Fixed shotgunners that got stuck V2 changes: A room everyone missed is now marked as secret. Secret count up from 2 to 3. (Basically, it was always there but I didn't think of it as a secret until people started missing it left and right). To do: Final polish and then off to ID it goes. NightRiding Doom Posted October 10, 2023 Turns out, a botched sector caused the monsters to be stuck in GZDoom. It is interesting that it did not happen in DSDA. Regardless, hotfixed. It is also relieving to see that a secret I thought would be too easy to find, has so far, been skipped by both players. I do not like those mancubi at this point, as everyone has approached them the same way, and it is just a big fat roadblock. Both have now been fixed in v1. Thanks for the videos. @Tangra 1k1k? Lol, I think you just have a small PTSD from testing it all the time. It is a bit cramped at places. Not sure if you played on GZDoom or not, but those shotgunners were not stuck last time I tested it. Anyway, did not make too much of a difference. You and @Aeddes666 did confirm my suspicion about those 3 fat boys, so I swaped them. Thankfully, neither of you found the secret I thought might be a bit too easy to find. Thanks for playing. ElPadrecitoCholo Posted October 11, 2023 @tumedaskihutaja_37685 Hey, I really liked the map, it had its respective challenge in finding enemies, as well as it had an extremely interesting map, and despite being small, I really enjoyed searching for everything it offered me, except for 1 enemy that I could never find, but anyway. It's true, however, the agent did not overlook that secret that the others never thought they would find, in any case, it is not a bad secret, although, when looking at the map, I think it becomes a mistake. little more obvious heh. NightRiding Doom Posted October 12, 2023 First 4 minutes I was like "this guy goes through it in a breeze, what did he mean rough it up".... then @Clippy goes full clippy, activates every trap in sequence and manages to make the only secret he could find also a death trap. Bainshie-Doom Posted October 18, 2023 (edited) Recorded using -complevel 9 DSDA-Doom 0.26 UVMAX MAP01 in 2:29.71 (New entry) Map rating: 8/10. A nice little map, that flows well, good level of difficulty, a nice general design, and some nice small fights. The last exit path is a bit annoying. UVMAX Rating: 9/10 This is a VERY good UVMAX map, one of the best I've played in a while. The difficulty is good, and routing is complicated in a good way. The duplicated weapons inside the secrets cause interesting choices to have to be made, and I'm not sure I've routed this the fastest I can. The final fight also provides an interesting problem, where aggression is the fastest way to clear it to avoid teleporting to happen, but such aggression comes with risks.
