MemeMind Posted February 29 The Half-Life scientists are the first thing when I think about video game NPCS. They are just so goofy I love them. Spoiler 3 Share this post Link to post
Murdoch Posted February 29 (edited) When it comes to NPCs I think of Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Some great characters in all games. Serana in Skyrim is great, interesting character and well acted. And I love the Inigo mod. Just doesn't feel like Skyrim without that goofy blue cat following me around. Dad in Fallout 3 was great because Liam Neeson. Nick from Fallout 4 is my favourite companion, pitch perfect noir detective performance, with the added drama of him feeling like the original Nick but knowing he's also not. Alyx and Eli in Half-Life 2 were great. That's all I can think of right now but no doubt many I have forgotten. 48 minutes ago, MemeMind said: The Half-Life scientists are the first thing when I think about video game NPCS. yakfak Posted February 29 (edited) theo from celeste every recurring character in night in the woods some npcs in classic western RPGs literally cannot shut the fuck up but it's not always good... like Planescape Torment has 500 mens each with a thesaurus on their lap but I mostly remember Dhall and the characters who join your party. sometimes the chat is too much eg the whole literate rpg tendency sometimes the chat is not enough like uh characters from FPSes lol cmon you can do better Edited February 29 by yakfak 2 Share this post Link to post
LadyMistDragon Posted February 29 Moira from Fallout 3 That loser in the...Hyrule Castle Town in Ocarina of Timebegging you to 'sell him something' Those creepy, yet still fairly goofy fairies from Ocarina of Time Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V I could easily go one. 2 Share this post Link to post
Maribo Posted February 29 (edited) Much of the cast of Disco Elysium, but particularly the solitary dicemaker is someone I think about from time to time. Idiot Doom Spiral and his cohorts, Cuno + Cunoesse, the ravers, Kim... too many fascinating people (and corpses) to talk to, but not nearly enough time. Moon: Remix RPG Adventure has a colorful cast of deceased monsters/animals, but the two I think about the most are Harpflower and Shellwhale. The former is a flower-like animal that can play its abdomen like a lyre, often as an expression of sadness or longing, while the latter is just a giant dead whale. Fallout: New Vegas has a plethora: Ulysses, Elijah, Veronica, Joshua Graham, Rose of Sharon Cassidy... Experiencing the desolate Mojave always feels like a faded dream. SitarA Posted February 29 I don't keep track of names when it comes to NPC's but from what I can recall, Cyberpunk 2077 had some interesting NPC's aswell as the Metal Gear Solid and Deus Ex games. 0 Share this post Link to post

CrocMagnum Posted March 1 (edited) Alice Wade (F.E.A.R.): Years ago I was one hell of a scavenger in videogames. I made it a point to collect most items and kill all enemies. That vulture-mentality changed one day when playing F.E.A.R (2005). I was doing a mission in which I had to escort Alice Wade (NPC). I was inside an elevator with her, shooting everything, just leaving out to collect ammo then coming back inside the lift. Then Alice Wade freaked out and yelled at me something that gave me a pause: "YOU DON'T HAVE TO KILL EVERYBODY!" Surprisingly for the Rambo that I was, her remark hit me in the head. I really thought it over. Since that day I don't scavenge as I used to. ^^ Niftu Cal (Mass Effect 2): a volus totally high on minagen, a drug in the Mass Effect lore. Niftu Cal thinks he's a biotic god and a majority of the ME fans remember him fondly. (vid). Edited March 1 by CrocMagnum 1 Share this post Link to post

PsychoGoatee Posted March 4 Adventure games from the 90s for me, like Space Quest and Quest for Glory come to mind. Lot of fun characters. Space Quest V has a whole fun crew of Star Trek type goofballs, Quest for Glory always has memorable townsfolk, like that couple of Cat people who run the inns. And the Metal Gear Solid games big time, Otacon is the greatest bro in games. 0 Share this post Link to post
