Yep. I uploaded a small WAD showcasing this method in December when I first came up with it, although I've refined my technique a bit since I made that post.

I made it myself! I mostly made it by tinting the palette various shades of purple and blue in GIMP, and then combining all the ranges that I thought turned out the best from the various filters. I might tweak it a bit further though, it doesn't play very nice with a couple of brown textures. I tried to improve it a couple months ago but then it just fucked up even more textures, so I just reverted it back to the initial version. Once I get it to a state I'm happy with, I'll release it for other people to use.

Probably won't do much with this, since it only plays right in DSDA-Doom, but fun little ice hockey rink WAD I'm working on.

Holy shit, you're killing it. I think this is the best detailing I've seen for any of the maps in the project so far. Phenomenal job, 'can't wait to playtest this one!

I am making this WAD from time to time, using only OTEX textures. I am aiming to detail it very much and using a lot of cool GZDOOM features, such as 3D floors and Prey-like portals, slopes and puzzles/rooms where you'll have to jump (at least to reach some secrets). This is a ~~total conversion because custom sprites will be used for monsters, weapons, power-ups, decorations, etc. even if the WAD is still attached to DOOM II's lore. Speaking of which:

Plot: Many years after the DOOM Marine destroyed the Icon of Sin (DOOM II's), you (the character) are awakening from what looks like some sort of demonic contraption. With no memory, isolated and lost, your goal will be to find why you're there, who you are and what to do.

This is MAP01 in UDMF format, even tough I
wanna add og DOOM intermission maps. Very early WIPs for now. I wonder if it is worth it to create its own topic yet. I mean, I can explain lore, how it will be divided, what to expect, difficulty goals, etc. etc.
I hope I can go very far with this! :}

It's 1996 and you're on board an alien infested space craft. Dangerous foes and ludicrous gibs await. These are my early workings of a total conversion mod for Alien Breed 3D 2: The Killing Grounds. The amazing Project Osiris has you covered for the first game, Alien Breed 3D, but the second title is generally unloved, especially with it's late release date in the Commodore Amiga's lifespan. It needs revival with a new lick of paint, yet staying true to the original.

 

I may start some kind of devlog thread soon.

Small update! I gave myself the time to work more on my WAD. I only added few details here and there, not changing much of the scaffolding of the map. Replaced the sky as I think the spawn place with be underground anyway. The red texture is only temporary (but DOOM is Eternal).

I didn't work much on those doors. Only removed a couple of linedefs from the automap. I forgot to change the two default ceiling textures.

Folks. What do you think about ceilings and floors using wall textures? I have a couple of nice ones for walls that I want to try on the ceiling (or later floors). I guess because I will be using features used in advanced ports such as GZDOOM (not the only one of course), I could do whatever.

I am glad I could continue that. You have no idea yet of how much it is hard for me to work, to focus and continue a project. This is a really big achievement for me. Most of the time, I make my words sound void because I never follow them with anything. It's not on purpose. That's why I usually refrain from telling what projects I have. I love talking about them in autistic details for hours. Talking about them kinda help me wanna make them. But it's only like a 5% higher chance.
