Frank Harper Posted July 4 Continue to working on a map for TropicHELL community project. Decorating this rather small temple took more time than I expected. (partially thanks to constant blackouts). TheGreenZap Posted July 5 With @myolden 's permission, I started a fun project of converting some of his Nostalgia 2 maps to Deathmatch maps. I'm not sure how many I will do, but it's fun because I'm a big fan of Nostalgia and Nostalgia 2. This is map15. Since you cannot be too symmetrical when making DM maps, I had to remove all of the caves in this map. I kept the cool Saucer and area around it and then just created a techbase for it. I more or less have the upper floors done (not sure if I'll actually move the door in the mess hall and make it actually accessible or not). I'll probably go back and some more doomcute stuff in the mess hall and rec room later on. Jimmy² Posted July 7 I LOVE the idea of a Garden of Eden that's just spewing blood from the sky, although I will admit the blood rain seems a tad excessive and probably would be a bit distracting in-game? This map will be released by the end of this month as part of Russian Random Speedmap Pack #3 (a big community project I'm leading specialy for the local part of our community). As playtests show, it doesn't interfere much (except for a little bit of bitrate spoiling on streams xdd), on the contrary, it adds a lot of dramatic effect in symbiosis with "The Forgotten God" by Tristan Clark. Been wanting to do a big map under a heavy downpour for a long time, there will be something to see there (this also applies to the whole project, we already have 45 worthy maps from 18 mappers and there's a whole week in which I can get new work sent to me). 2 Share this post Link to post

I feel like the blood might be nicer/less excessive-looking if there was some translucency on it. Is it done with things, or linedefs?
