    shrine.wad

The real meat of this is map03, and it's not too bad at all. Definitely skip map02. See my review: http://www.doomworld .com/vb/doomworld-ne ws/36729-the-newstuf f-chronicles-276/

    Knee Deep in the UnDead

It was OK (but nothing special, even by generic E1 clone standards) until in E1M3 a map-smashing invalid tag error brought the whole thing crashing down. Please test your wads using the behaviours that they are intended to work with.

    The Keep

It's a good wad. Play it.
It's a binary deh. You can convert it to a text-format deh. It gives you overpowered weapons and makes the monsters' gib frames repeat.

    Bullets

Very poor map. Ugly and boring/unchallenging to play. On the other hand, it isn't a troll wad, and it doesn't feature fatal map errors. Maybe worth 2/5 if you were being very generous, but I'll knock a star off for it being cluelessly and pretentiously touted as "Hell Revealed style". 1/5

    Door to Chthon

Serious map-smashing errors; most of the map can be skipped (exiting in a few seconds) without even using any tricks or exploits. Bland looking; the idea has been done far better very long ago. I wouldn't have known this was meant to be a remake of the Quake map if the textfile hadn't said so. The map would deserve (generously) 2/5 if bug-free; I'll deduct only 1 for the errors. 1/5

    You Dig v1.7

    Interesting concept.

    Extreme Weapon Pack

It's an attempt at humour, and it succeeds better than most "joke wads". Note: this isn't a trollwad, just a silly weapons mod. It isn't something you'd ever want to play with for real though. And you do kind of wish the author had put the effort into something useful...

    Outpost Quark -- version 1 update 2

Excellent map. There is even reasonable ammo balance.

    The Agonizing Vault

Map does not work in vanilla Doom or compatibles.

    Trilogy

Gameplay is easy, but these maps are more than interesting enough to be worth playing. Some nice effects.

I Put Effort Into This Wad

Moronic troll wad/txt. Ty should stamp all over this crap in all its newly-bifurcating forms. A policy of "Deliberate troll wads will get rejected; archive maintainer's decision is final" would be fully appropriate, and no doubt widely supported by the Doom community.

    jstuff10.WAD

Not as polished as Kurt's later works, but it's always interesting to see how the well-known mappers started out. It's certainly a good map, with balanced gameplay and the kind of interesting structures and height differences that marked the author's subsequent creations.

    UFO

A beautiful and unusual map by a skillful mapper (check out his other wads - don't be put off if this one isn't to your taste). Gameplay isn't too bad, but don't expect anything very free-flowing. I'd much rather mappers experiment with concept maps than just make standard maps all the time.

    Monster Hunter Ltd (Part II)

Even better than the first in the series, this is everything a Doom wad should be. Atmospheric, beautiful, coherent but varied design, and well-balanced gameplay that keeps the player on his toes the whole time without using hoards of monsters or luck-based situations. A must-play. Experienced Doomers should be able to exit on UV at their first attempt if they play carefully.
