I really like what I’ve played but the game freezes up after only like 10 minutes of gameplay and is kinda rendered unplayable after that so I might refund it idk.

If DOOM Didn't exist, what would happen?
The Icon of Sin replied to twistedhydrgoen's topic in Doom General Discussion
That’s untrue Doom was added in later in those hearings Mortal Kombat and Night Trap were the main players -
No ones actually answering his question and just talking about columbine which is kinda dumb. To answer the OP's question I haven't seen any new stories about "Doom Addiction", and personally I don't see how being addicted to specifically Doom is different from any other game addiction.

I've seen this criticism of Quake 1 in a few places and I began to believe it for a little bit, but I replayed a little quake and saw it's level design and architecture and wondered what people were smoking when they came up with this criticism, sure the enemies might seem lacking in the personality department I could understand that to a point it's not as varied as Doom 2's enemy roster. But quakes architecture makes up for that and to be honest Quake 1's architecture gives off more of a personality than Doom's to me. Anyway to pose a question what does Doom World think of Quakes feel and personality is it unique or contrived?

Who out of the classic ID software team would you have a drink with?

I’ll start I’d have a drink with John Carmack. -
I mean some people could. I really wanted to see people articulate why they love doom so much and why it still kicks ass.
