  1. Yup, anyone triggered by something in a video game needs to get out more.
  2. First, thanks for playing and glad you seemed to enjoy it. Second, gotta make 'em harder if peeps are clearing my maps blind first try. Some of the spawners are just timed, ie a grunt gets crushed in a side room off camera by a slow crusher. I recall one stops when the silver wall drops and you cross the linedef leaving just a few behind you as you encounter the hidden Caco. It's all smoke 'n' mirrors :D

  5. Rendered a skybox for my newest map, and another wall texture (sure you can spot it !) I really need to reign myself in a bit, this was supposed to be a small map and it isn't done yet !!

    How should I start making textures?

    Tip for good looking textures with depth: Use a 3D program (Blender is free). Model a 3d flat and take an orthographic image of it. Resize it to normal Doom sizes (eg 128*128) Not for everyone I know, but it works :) Joy !

  14. Last post, honest. "Tabernacle Of The Blood Witch" IS now complete. Since it's map 32, I made a super secret area for it you need to hunt for when the main exit is found :D

    Competent, works in gzdoom. Dark, picky combat with ambush around EVERY corner just isn't my thang. Don't take that to heart though b/c it's fine :) Just wanted to let you know it works with gzdoom.

      Slaughtermaps aren't my favourites, but I'll give it a bash all the same :) Will post in the WAD thread when I get around to it. Cheers for the update and congratz on release!

      No mate, Spacial Doom.....31 Map megawad, feel free to play it on easier settings, not all the maps are bonkers hard (Code Red for instance). Bloodpits is just one of them :)

       

      I'm sure you could manage 3,4, 16 and 25.

  23. You can specify no jumping and crouching in MAPINFO Here's how I do it (my maps are for gzdoom in UDMF format so this will work for you). Ignore the sky function, it's for a custom skybox. Example:- map map01 lookup "The Grand Archives" { levelnum = 1 next = MAP02 sky1 = sky09,0 titlepatch = "The Grand Archives",0 author = "by YOUR NAME HERE" music = D_RUNNIN par = 900 nojump nocrouch }
