I love those alien vendetta redwall textured wall highlights in a diamond-esque shape. Those red pillars in deus vult are one of my favourite mapping tropes too. -

The only psi (ψ) I know used in math NOT in the sense of a placeholder variable are the polygamma functions. But here it appears to be just a dummy placeholder variable. (Can't solve this myself though...)
