Is it just me or is this map like extremely laggy? (nvm I had a hp bar mod on that made it SUPER laggy) also is there a way to make sure enemies don't like spawn skeletons when they die due to the necromancer even if he's not nearby them or something? I wanna do the gauntlets but that's kinda annoying. -

If maps do have unmarked secrets it shouldn't be more than 3 unmarked secrets. Also I think extended hud could be nice (altho I don't play with it) because if a player is struggling but they know a secret is on a map maybe they find it and it helps em beat the level. (But you shouldn't require secrets to beat it) More confusing mind boggling maps please! it does suck that not everyone who watches youtubers ends up playing the maps themselves but that's just how it is sometimes. Stuff is more popular to watch then play due to work, school, etc. Watching people play your maps is a wonderful experience at least and it's sad if they miss stuff. I think the practice runs are pretty good because he gets to show all of the intricacies. As maps get bigger it gets harder to find everything in the level, which is a double edged sword because player might want to replay it with other mods (not in the same sitting) or never play it again because its too big. The big mappacks always look really beautiful but if you're trying out mods you're probably gonna just use a small mappack. Giving your map replayability is excellent and I wish more maps had branching paths or routes. TDLR: Decino is being too hard on himself in the video and secrets being marked/unmarked should be up to the mapper. -
The platform being invis at the end is on purpose but the lift in map 2 is not! thank you for telling me abt it I was thinking of kinda like enter the gungeon secret where the platform is invis but you see where the enemies are on it of course you can just strafe across it though! map 07 is actually a remake of the hotline miami 2 map Blood money I also think I should have stuck with textures for doors because sometimes checkboard is door sometimes its not and it could be frustrating on the lazarus fields map if you can't find the door on that one Again thanks for playing! Edit: Also should've made it clear that you can't hit the archviles as the point of the trap is to have the archviles constantly reviving the revenant unless you find the secret to kill them. Funny how everyone thought the guy standing in map07 was a voodoo doll

Thank you! it was my first maps ever I mean the first first map I ever made was sewer level so this is much better than that. I think my levels do rely a little too much on gimmicks to have really good combat but i'll def work on it more if I make more maps

A 7 Level mappack that might be expanded on in the future Each map has some sort of gimmick or interesting idea. GZDOOM UDMF Format should be able to beat it with no jump! and also pistol start :) would love to see videos if any of yall try that! Some maps require finding the secret to 100%. The color pal is black and white but probably will get fuked up if u use mods (which is fine) and also haven't tried it on all source ports The levels are about being very unconventional weird so like I may give the player a rocket launcher and then have a bunch of lost souls around you but lots of room to learn how to fight lost souls with launchers (or just ignore that and use a different weapon) I hope at least one of the map is enjoyable to you! due to the black and white things may be hard to see (projectiles etc) so once again if you dont like it you can always load a mod smiley face! Neurotic Lifestyle.7z
