I have been digging through the WADS that I have in obtained from both D!Zone Gold and Demon's Gate (as well as other Doom compilations that I have gotten ahold of). I came upon the first Dwango.wad file. I think it would be a great map for sixteen players, would anyone be interested in joining if I set up a server?

I just did. I thought D!Zone Gold came with the full versions of perdition's gate and hell to pay?
-
Does anyone know how to install Perdition's Gate and Hell to Pay? It seems like you have to merge the files, but I'm running windows XP. Any ideas?

Zen Dynamics becomes easier once you realize you can't just run into a room guns blazing. That's how I died many times in the beginning. =)

Screenshots from my upcoming map (No instant death trap this time. =P). It is currently untitled, enjoy: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/2421/doom0014mn4.png http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1812/doom0015ra4.png http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/8158/doom0016pk2.png http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/6910/doom0017ld0.png http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1932/doom0018lt5.png http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/9789/doom0019jp5.png http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4273/doom0020ua1.png http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/7854/doom0021dt9.png http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/5812/doom0022az6.png

I wonder what he meant by: "To the defend of the author I assume he forgot to set a bit"

The death trap is not the end of synapse. It's a trick to test the inginuity of the player. You'll notice when you warp in, a wall has dropped to a room that a hell knight comes out of. (Originally it was another vile, but I took it out because the room got filled up too fast.) There is a switch in the room that the hell knight comes out of that drops another wall to the teleporter that takes you back to the start. Oh...and fp. *EDIT* Beat me to it. =P *EDIT 2* Also, a second reason why I included the death trap is I didn't want the player to just run by the vile and flee. The vile is supposed to be the final fight. The deathroom was included to prevent the player from running away.

UFO was a cool map. I just played it.

I've heard of them and seen their discography, but I am not necessarily a fan because I haven't really listened to them at all. However, this sounds like a cool TC and I would be more than happy to map for you. I think the top three wads that I've made would be: Maxima.wad, Babel.wad, and my recent release, Synapse.wad If you're interested send me a PM. -SlatheDoomer

You did everything right, and I read reviews in the /idgames archive of people saying the death teleport at the end was pointless/there seems to be no way to beat the level. In actuality that was a little trick I threw in there at the end. Originally I thought about having the player teleport to another complex and have to fight through that before being teleported back to the red door. I decided to make a little trick of inginuity to see if the player was paying attention or not. If you notice, the teleporter that you used to get back to the red door was closed off, giving you only the death teleport as an option. I did this because I didn't want players to just run by the archvile and back to the exit without defeating him. Thus, you will notice when you teleport into the room with the SSG, where the archvile is resurrecting demons, a wall dropped where a Hell Knight comes out. In the back of this tiny room that the HK comes out of is a switch that drops the real teleporter wall. I figured players would realize that I wouldn't just kill them off like that. =P I was hoping it would offer some slight puzzle-solving skills to figure out how to achieve the true exit when you die the first time, making the player play at least twice, unless they saved of course. -SlatheDoomer

http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/?id=14765 What does everyone think? One of the reviews said that the shotgun shells are unreachable at the start. This is untrue. You start off with the shotgun and next to the door along the other computer panel wall there are two four-packs. A total of sixteen shells against four zombiemen, a shotgun guy, and three chaingunners, which really isn't that hard of a beginning. Ammunition is plentiful after that. All feedback is welcomed. Thanks in advance, -SlatheDoomer
