Map of the Month for July, 1999: FlashDM1 FlashDM1 is a Zdoom-only deathmatch map that puts Zdoom's special features to good use. The design takes after a futuristic space carrier, complete with an interactive deathmatch environment that really adds to the atmosphere and excitement of the map. Players can use cameras to track opponents, booby traps to fry them, and health stations to give themselves a quick boost in the heat of battle. The most interesting feature in this map however lies in its scripting; a BFG and plasma rifle are both present on the map, but only one can be obtainable at any time! Download the map and see how it works for yourself... (9/16/99) If you downloaded FlashDM1 before 9/16/99, please re-download it since it carries some additional bug fixes and adjustments. Also, a lite version of FlashDM1 (fdm1lite.zip) is now available for download. It is identical to the standard version in every way, the only exception being that it doesn't have any MOD music included with it. Thus, it's perfectly fine for the standard and lite versions to connect in a deathmatch; it will not bomb out with consistency errors.
